How can I preserve the orientation of frame members for radial replicate operation?

...

How is orientation preserved for radially replicated frame members?

Answer: For the initial unrotated model, the orientation of frame local axes for the original unrotated model. More specifically, use should be defined using the Advanced Axes option. Two joints should be specified to control member rotation within the 1-2 local plane option with two joints that will also get rotated. The advantage of this approach is that this advanced local axes definition will remain preserved even after the model is rotated. Local-axis definition will then remain preserved after the frame rotates. To rotate the model, please make sure to check the "ensure that Local Axes " option and uncheck the "Rotate local axes, where aplicable" optionis selected and Rotate Local Axes, Where Applicable is not selected.
