Answer: ETABS used text-based input during earlier software versions. The interface has since improved and simplified editing. A better-formatted and more useful set of input information is available through File > Print Tables > Input command and print the tables of the data you want to submit for checking. This is better than an input file of closely packed nondescript text. The errors in the input can be trapped better in the input tables written by SAP and ETABS programs. These data tables are well-suited for review.
