While exporting from SAP2000 to SAFE, a global-Z elevation is specified by the user. All objects connected to joints within a tolerance of this elevation are then exported to SAFE. Linear-static and response-spectrum load cases are also exported, along with associated data. Load data includes joint forces which account for loading from structural systems not exported.
