General

• Joints are added in their undeformed position, which means that the reported deflection for newly added joints in not cumulative. See page Accounting for deformed shape in staged construction for additional information.

• Used "Named Property Sets" to change sections or end releases from stage to stage.

Staged Construction and Bridge Modeler

• The staged construction can "operate" on objects created both by BrIM and outside of BrIM. While the BrIM model may be sufficient for typical regular bridges, it may need to be supplemented by manual modeling for more complex and irregular structures or to model change of the boundary conditions.

• It is not necessary to convert BrIM object to unlinked model before using the Construction scheduler. The construction scheduler is essentially a more user-friendly way to define staged construction analysis load case and the same rules as for staged construction analysis apply.
