How to change pipe size

Changing pipe sizes is accomplished by selecting one or more piping elements, then Assign menu>Pipe>Pipe property set as shown in the following example.

Here we use Set display view icon to display the names of the pipe property sets. This is another reason to give your pipe property sets a descriptive name. Here we have a model with all pipes part of the 10"STD  pipe property set.

 

Next we want to change the header pipe from 10"STD to 14"STD. The first step is to select the piping that you want to change. There are several select options, but in this example we'll use 'Select by Pipeline' from the Select menu to select the header piping (Pipeline-A).


Use Assign menu>Pipe>Pipe Property set, click on 14"STD and press OK or Apply to change the header pipe size as shown. If you haven't already defined the pipe property set, use Define>Pipe sections and Define>Pipe property sets to add it.
