In-plane shear forces

In-plane shear forces

How do I find the total in-plane shear force (F12) within a slab?

Extended Question: SAFE reports the resultant in-plane shear force per meter, but how do I calculate the total force across a given width?

Answer: Total in-plane shear force, based on F12 response, could be estimated by modeling additional area objects along locations where total force is to be observed. Tables and graphical display would then be available. Such an approach is necessary because in-plane shear force is not generated from strip force results.
