This article describes setting up license redundant servers and adding redundant licenses using WlmAdmin.

The Sentinel RMS License Manager must be installed and running on each server that will host the redundant licenses.

Adding Redundant Licenses

Save the license file, lservrc file, to the Sentinel RMS License Manager server computer.

  a.  Run WlmAdmin.exe.  Click Edit >  Redundant License File.  This will bring up the WrlfTool utility.

If there are no Redundant Licenses on the server

  • Click File>New
  • Click Add Servers under Redundant Servers (add the leader server first)
  • Click Add License under Redundant Licenses (browse to the unzipped file lservrc)
  • Click File>Save or File>Save As (to save the redundant license file, lservrlf)
  • Copy the lservrlf file onto each license server defined under Add Servers

For 64-bit operating systems:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel RMS License Manager\WinNT
For 32-bit operating systems:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel RMS License Manager\WinNT

If  Redundant Licenses are already on the server

  • Click File>Open (browse to the file lservrlf and the servers will show under Redundant Servers)
  • Click Add License under Redundant Licenses (browse to the unzipped file lservrc)
  • Click File>Save (adds the new redundant license, lservrlf, to the existing one)
  • Copy the lservrlf file onto each license server defined under Add Servers.

For 64-bit operating systems:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel RMS License Manager\WinNT
For 32-bit operating systems:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel RMS License Manager\WinNT

  b. Add newly created/updated redundant license (lservrlf) to the other redundant servers by copying the lservrlf file into the License Manager installation folder on all remaining redundant servers:

For 64-bit operating systems, the License Manager may be installed under the following default location:

 C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel RMS License Manager\WinNT

For 32-bit operating systems, the License Manager may be installed under the following default location:
