Local Flexibility of Nozzle/Vessel Junctions

CSiPlant offers built-in local flexibility calculations for branch connections and nozzle/vessel junctions per ASME B31J. For those branch connections and nozzle/vessel junctions which do not meet the dimensional requirements of B31J, users can easily enter stiffness values for local flexibilities calculated from SAP2000 finite element models or from another 3rd party software program.Â
Utilizing SAP2000’s open application programming interface (OAPI), some users have developed their own programs to generate complex finite element models of process equipment and piping using SAP2000’s proven finite element capabilities.
Nozzle Flex is one commercially available software product for calculating nozzle/vessel flexibilities which utilizes SAP2000 finite elements through the OAPI.
