Toolbar customization
Toolbar customization
Information which concerns toolbar customization is stored in the SAP2000v15.ini file of the User Settings folder. The software will resort to the default toolbar layout when invalid entries or another type of corruption prevent this .ini file from being read.

Backup toolbar settings
If problems occur with customized toolbar settings, we suggest the following process:
- Customize the toolbar according to your preferences, then use the File > Exit command to close the software. This will save toolbar information to the .ini file.
- Open the software to verify that the toolbar layout is as intended.
- Copy and save the SAP2000v15.ini file to a backup location.
- If problems occur with toolbar customization, replace the SAP2000v15.ini file in the User Settings folder with the one from the backup location.
Toolbar customization is not being saved
If your toolbar customization is not being saved after exiting and reopening the program, please check whether the folder "Computers and Structures" has been created in the Application Data directory. If this folder does not exist, please create it manually and then the program subfolder and the .ini files under it will be created when the program is run.
