The images which follow present the geometric configuration of DXF models which may be imported into SAP2000. For your reference, these DXF files are attached below.

DXF 3D Face entities import as SAP2000 shells

When imported into SAP2000, 3D Face entities within DXF files convert into shell objects. For example, the spherical shell model shown in Figure 1 may be imported into SAP2000.

DXF Polygon Mesh entities import as SAP2000 solids

When imported into SAP2000, Polygon Mesh entities within a DXF files convert into solid objects. The pyramid base model shown in Figure 2 is one such file which may be imported into SAP2000.
